Established in 1950 by Ken Thomas, our basic philosophy has remained unchanged since then; provide personalized customer service and high-quality products. With more than 75 years of experience in the industry (and 75 years of being proudly Canadian), we have the knowledge and expertise required to get the job done right. A few words about
KM Thomas's history of leading in door & security hardware
Founded in 1950 by Ken Thomas, K.M. Thomas starts with a few hardware lines and starts selling to contractor hardware distributors.
Grant Magee joins K.M. Thomas and remains on until his retirement in 2019, providing over 50 years of superior technical expertise in door hardware to our valued customers.
K.M. Thomas starts representing Adams Rite Products. We continued to represent Adams Rite until ASSA Abloy purchased it in 2006.
K.M. Thomas adds Lund Key Cabinets to their growing line of door hardware products. We continue to sell and represent Lund Equipment Company to this day.
K.M. Thomas started representing and stocking Detex products. Detex’s line of exit alarm products continues to be one of our premier lines to this day. Customers continue to purchase Detex through K.M. Thomas due to our vast knowledge of Detex alarms and exit devices.
Kathy Dunne, joins K.M. Thomas, where she remains to this day. Kathy has over 30 years of experience in the door & hardware industry.
K.M. Thomas starts selling a variety of lines, including ASSA Abloy, Alarm Lock, Best, Hager, Micom, and Magnasphere.
